Artemis shooed out the last of her seventh year class and smiled to herself as she went to collect the pieces of parchment left on the desks. Today they had been correcting the homework essays that she'd handed back to them. She thought it was important to learn from your mistakes and she got the impression that the students found it helpful to see where they'd gone wrong. The class had groaned collectively when they discovered they would be writing but they had soon perked up when she'd promised that the next lesson would be practical.
Collecting her bag from under her desk she put in the papers and slung it over her shoulder. Departing from her classroom she made her way out of the castle and towards the Forbidden Forrest where she had arranged to meet her next class. Artemis had told them to wait for her just beside Hagrid's home and under no circumstances go into the forrest but the chances of that happening were slim. Even as she strolled across the lawns towards the group clustered beside the hut she could see a few of them were climbing and swinging from the trees. "Davies, get down will you? I don't want you to break your neck, I really don't fancy taking you to the Hospital Wing," she called.
Artemis beamed at the students when she reached them properly. "Right are you lot ready? Well then, get into pairs and we'll set off for this challenge, shall we?" She hadn't told the class what they would be doing but she was sure they'd like it. She wished she'd done something like this when she was at Hogwarts but alas, she had been subjected to boring text books every lesson. She set off towards the forrest, expecting them to follow, but just before they reached the line of trees she looked over her shoulder and called to them all, "And I'd get your wands out if I were you, you never know what might jump out and attack us around here." As she continued to walk she smirked to herself, Artemis couldn't help but tease them a little.
