I know that filling out the application for a character can be a little daunting, especially if you're relatively new to the idea, so I've made some hints and tips. Even if you're an experienced player it's worth taking a look, you never know you may get an idea or two.
Full Name: Your character's first, last and, if applicable middle names.
Nickname(s): Any nicknames they have? You may want to put down how they got them and who calls them it.
Age: How old is your character?
Year: What year are they in?
House: If your character is canon simply put what house they are in on the list. If they are an original then you should put which house you wish for them to be in.
Appearance: Here is where you should put the appearance of your character. A few paragraphs should do. A few key things you should include are:
Picture: A picture (or a link to a picture) of the celebrity you are using to portray your character.
Celebrity Portrayal: The name of the celeb you are using. When an admin accepts you they will use the name you put here to claim your celeb so no one else can use them.
Personality: What sort of a person is your character? Are they; Flirty? Conserved? Funny? Sarcastic? Adventurous? Try not to make them perfect, such as a gorgeous girl who is amazingly intelligent and extremely kind. No-one likes those sort of people, they are just annoying. Here are a few things you should try to include in the personality:
Likes: List a few of the things your character likes the most. Try to put down at least 3. For example, you could put their favourite subject and their favourite past time.
Dislikes: What does your character dislike more than anything else. Similarly to above you could put their least favourite subject and activity.
Personal History: This is where you should write about your characters background. I like to split my history up in to sections such as:
Family: A list of close family members. Make sure to include their parents and any siblings.
Pets(if any): Do they have a pet? If they do, what is it called, what does it look like and how did they come to own it?
Other: Anything else you would like to put but it doesn't fit in anywhere else goes here.

- Build (Muscular/skinny, heavy chested/flat chested etc.)

- Flaws (stubborn, arrogant etc.)
- Strengths (what they are good at)
- Weaknesses (what they are bad at)

- Hogwarts (Older) (What did they get in their O.W.L.s? How are they coping with the stress of N.E.W.T.s? Anything else happen to them at Hogwarts?)
